CloseA distinguished Panel of Jury will assess all the entries.
The Jury will comprise of a Panel of eminent Architects.
The Jury will be a two-stage process. From all the entries received, the jury will do an initial shortlist of projects which will have to be presented live during the YAF Awards event. The final jury evaluation will be based on these live presentations.
The Jury may decide not to award a prize in one or more category at their discretion.
Decisions, deliberations, opinions and proceedings of the Jury shall not be made public or otherwise revealed.
The Jury can be by majority opinion, remove any entry from the evaluation process.
Decision of the Jury shall be final and without appeal and shall be binding on all participants.
CloseAll IIA Members under 40 years (born on or after 1st January 1982), having paid subscription up to 2022-2023 or Life Time Members or those who have applied for IIA membership (with proof of application), are eligible to participate in Awards. IIA National Office Bearers, IIA Awards Committee members and host Centre Event Convenors are NOT eligible for participation.
In case an entry is made by a partnership Firm, the above age stipulations shall apply to the Principal architect / all Partners of the Firm.
ClosePresentation of an Award to any entry in no way legalizes its status. If a project (i.e. an Award winning project) is involved in any revenue dispute or in violation of any statutory laws / regulations at subsequent time, the said award has no legal standing or validity in such dispute / violation.
The management of these Awards is entirely based on the bonafide personal declaration duly signed & stamped by Architect / Firm along with the Entry Form.
If prior to the actual presentation of the Award, any such violation comes to the notice of the Organizers (i.e. IIA National Council) along with documentary evidence or in case any of the information declared is found to be incorrect/invalid, the organizers reserve the right to withdraw / cancel the Entry , in consultation with the Jury.
Categories with insufficient entries are liable to be cancelled.
Posthumous Award: In case of death of an individual (whose project is selected for the Award) prior to actual presentation of Award, the Organizers may present the Award posthumously.
CloseBased on entries received, the Jury at its discretion can choose to confer the Awards or to not give Award at all in each category.
The awards are to be given to an individual architect. In case an entry is submitted by a Team / Firm, the award shall be given to the Principal architect of the Team / Firm or to a person so nominated by Team / Firm.
All entries will be published in the official website of The Indian Institute of Architects -- www.indianinstituteofarchitects.com and the IIA Kerala Chapter -- www.iiakerala.org.
All the shortlisted entries will have to be presented live during the Awards presentation programme and also will be displayed for the exhibition. The shortlisted participants will have to send their entries composed in A2 sheet format for the exhibition as well as their presentations in PowerPoint format, which will be used for the live presentations. The exact formats and further details will be intimated to the shortlisted participants. The shortlisted participant has to present their entry in person and cannot nominate someone else to do the live presentation.
If the winner of an award for whatsoever reason cannot be present at the Awards presentation Programme, a nominee can receive the award on his behalf with prior notification.
All Award winning entries may be exhibited at Award Presentation Function at the discretion of the organizers.
All the shortlisted entries (except for Best Young Practice: Ideas for future – Category B) will have to be presented live during the Awards presentation program and also will be displayed for the exhibition.

How to submit an entry?Keep the documents to be uploaded ready. In case of RTGS Payment, make the RTGS transaction online and keep the transaction details ready. In case of Cheque payments, keep the cheque ready with the payment details.

You will be led to the ‘IIA National Awards: Project Upload Form’
Fill in all the details and upload all the documents including payment details (RTGS transaction reference/cheque details (scanned copy of the cheque can be uploaded)
Click on the ‘Submit the Project’ button seen in the bottom of the page.
You will receive an acknowledgment mail to the mail ID you had given with a unique Registration Number.

Do I need to Register separately for the event?Yes. The Awards Ceremony along with the Presentation of all shortlisted entries will be happening on 26thMarch 2017 at the Convention Hall - Chennai Trade Centre. As a delegate, one needs to Register separately for this event. The Event Registration can be done online via www.iiaawards.com
I have submitted an Entry. Do I still need to Register for the Event?Yes. Everyone needs to Register for the event as a delegate. In case the entry is shortlisted, the Registration Fee paid as a delegate shall be refunded.
